Mille Fontaines

Mille Fontaines is an inclusive literary and fine arts journal that publishes all styles and forms of art. Past editions have included poetry, prose, photography, painting, drawing, printing, music, and film, but the journal is not limited to any of these mediums.

While English and French are the most common, submissions in any language are encouraged.

Every semester, the staff selects one French and one English word to serve as the theme of the edition. For our Ninth Edition we are excited to announce our chosen theme:

Évolution Imperfect !

Moving through life’s twists and turns, we each confront obstacles and roadblocks just as often as successes and straight-aways. The way in which we comport ourselves in dealing with these circumstances can be positive or negative. Each situation presents the opportunity to gain wisdom or insight, especially those situations which may at first seem solely detrimental. What moments in your life resemble this? The imperfect events that can truly hurt. When have you been forced to grow? Evolution is never an easy experience, but a higher state of awareness should be the goal of every human. Each of us will form a unique path, and have our own stories to tell…

Submissions are NOT required to fit the theme. The theme is not intended to limit the creativity of our contributors, rather to expand their focus and provide inspiration for those who want more direction.
